President Obama is taking a page from China’s government and is seeking to bypass democracy’s ‘very detrimental’ hurdles and just impose a new UN treaty on Americans. The Administration with both its EPA climate regulations (no climate impact) and the UN treaty has essentially declared ‘We don’t need no stinkin legislature.’

Under EPA rules, the American people already face an increasingly centrally planned domestic energy economy and will now face one dictated from the United Nations without the Senate’s consent. Of course, eliminating plentiful energy is what the Obama administration officials have stated is their goal. All of this comes at a time when the evidence continues to show that man-made global warming claims are failing. Global temperatures have flat-lined for nearly 18 years (with at least 38 excuses offered). Sea level rise has decelerated. Arctic summer sea ice may hit a decade high in 2014. (Sorry John Holdren, looks like your Arctic warnings about missing winter sea ice is still far off) Antarctica sea ice is at record expansion. Extreme weather is at or near historic lows, declining trends or no trends in hurricanes, tornadoes, wild fires, droughts and floods.

Climatologist Dr. Pat Michaels of Cato Institute: The President simply doesn’t care about the legislative branch when it comes to climate regulations. He feels that the Supreme Court empowered him in Mass. v. EPA. He lost the House over cap and trade in 2010 so what does it matter if the voters take it out on the Senate in 2014? Besides, the electoral demographics in the Senate look as bad for the Repos in 2016 as they do for the Demos this year. So they will just be out for two years anyway.

Declaring it binding does not make it so without ratification by the Senate. This is just another desperate, feel-good gesture by Obama and the far-left.
“Politically binding” is not legally binding. “Voluntary pledges” are not legally binding. “Seeking to bypass” is not a bypass.
In short, this Obama fandango is politically motivated hoopla that has more in common with tapioca than it does with concrete.
Given any opportunity, Obama will continue make an unambiguous fool out of himself before he chooses to lead.
Income tax was never ratified, and never would be, and yet today we have income tax that was started by that privately owned entity called the Federal Reserve in 1913. Unless the people are vigilant, meaning that they are willing and able to kill enemies both foreign and domestic, then they will need to pay carbon/climate tax, as well as income tax along with (why not?) Mickey Mouse tax.
The income tax required the XVI Amendment in order to collect taxes on incomes; it was thereby exempted from the ordinary approval process. Given the very low priority/concern assigned to Global Warming by the American public and our current attitude directed against tax hikes, I doubt that we are ever going to see any XXVIII Amendment to our constitution that would be needed to collect any carbon/climate taxes. So unless the Supreme Court’s John Roberts defines the latter to be an income tax (as he did with the ACA that provided it the XVI immunity and exemption), it can’t happen. But then again, John Roberts has been a cornucopia of surprises.
The dictator-in-chief (failed community organizer, failed senator, failed everything and on top of that, Georgie Soros’ and his minions puppet) and his minions (the ones that love Mao and other commies) can’t seem to grasp the meaning of “NO WE DON’T WANT TOTAL, COMPLETE SOCIALISM”. Kinda reminds me of old Slick Willie’s “What is “IS”??? and old Hillary’s “What does in matter”??? HEY!!!! The Primary causes of global climate change relates to the sun and the oceans, Such a treaty will have no effect on climate. There is no evidence in the paleoclimate record that CO2 has any effect on climate. The primary so called greenhouse gas in the Earth’s atmosphere is H2O which provides ample negative feedbacks so as to mitigate any effect that changes in other greenhouse gases might have on climate. The primary heat retention gas in the earth’s atmosphere is N2 because of its abundance and because it is a very inefficient LWIR radiator. We must be reminded that a good absorber is also a good radiator and vis versa.
Obama has the typical mindset. He believes that he needs to just do what’s right because he believes it’s right, regardless of the rule of law. Laws are only for those evil, right-wing conservatives to follow.

gambit is not so much about saving the climate as it’s about micro-managing
every detail of our lives. He and others sharing the same liberal philosophy
are destroying America as we knew it. The less credible the Climate Change
fanatics become, the harder they fight. Their claims are NOT supported
with empirical data so their clams are as extreme as a Sci-Fi movie.
