Trump made the so-called “war on coal” a major part of his campaign message, traveling across coal states attacking EPA regulations for hurting miners. Trump handily won in coal states like, Kentucky, West Virginia and Wyoming.
Trump ‘s victories in Ohio and Pennsylvania, key swing states, were in no small part due to huge turnout in coal mining regions of the state. Trump’s stance on trade and energy likely resonated with voters there.

CFACT’s Morano named a ‘top climate denier’
To our delight, CFACT’s Marc Morano made the list at #2 – right behind his old boss U.S. Senator James Inhofe.
Of course, calling people “deniers” who seek to correct the record on climate change is meant to be highly offensive – or at least it would be if the term “denier” had not become such a hackneyed climate propaganda term that it’s now a joke.

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. According to Oil Change International, Inhofe has received over $2 million in political contributions from the fossil fuel industry. He once compared the Environmental Protection Agency to the Gestapo, and brought a snowball onto the Senate floor to ‘disprove’ global warming. Sen. Inhofe, author of the 2012 book The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future, once claimed on the Senate floor that “man-made global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”

(CNSNews.com) – Today marks the completion of a record-breaking 11 years without a major hurricane striking the U.S. mainland, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA).
“I can confirm that as of October 24, 2016, it will be a complete 11 years since a major hurricane has struck the United States, as defined by the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale of being a Category 3 or higher,” meteorologist Dennis Feltgen, spokesman for NOAA’s National Hurricane Center (NHC), told CNSNews.com.
“The current streak of no major hurricane landfalls onto the U.S. mainland remains intact. The last one to do so was Hurricane Wilma on October 24, 2005,” Feltgen said.
Category 3 and higher hurricanes are characterized by sustained wind speeds of 111 mph or more and strong storm surges that are capable of causing “devastating” or “catastrophic” damage.
The current 11-year stretch with no major hurricane striking the United States is the longest since record-keeping began, according to NOAA data going back to 1851.
The second-longest major hurricane drought ended 147 years ago: the 8 years, 11 months between September 1860 and August 1869. The third-longest stretch (5 years, 11 months) was between October 1900 and September 1906.
In 2005, the U.S. was pummeled by four major hurricanes – Dennis, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma – which killed nearly 4,000 people and caused nearly $160 billion in damages. That is the only year on record when four major hurricanes have struck the United States.
But since then, no major hurricanes have made landfall in the U.S. However, lower category hurricanes–such as Hurricane Matthew earlier this month and Hurricane Sandy in 2012–have killed dozens of people and caused billions of dollars’ worth of damage.
According to NHC director Rick Knabb, flooding from storm surge is responsible for 9 out of 10 hurricane fatalities in the U.S.
Hurricane Matthew, the first Category 5 hurricane to form in the Atlantic since 2007, roared through the Caribbean as a Category 4 hurricane with torrential rains and wind speeds of 145 mph, leaving 546 people dead and 128 missing inHaiti.

They’ve just made up the excuse. Because if we were indeed being blacklisted because we hold a point of view, how can the UN approve journalists who are literally paid propagandists for authoritarian regimes, like China’s Xinhua and CCTV, and even Qatar’s Al Jazeera and Russia’s RT?
Many independent western media have an explicit advocacy orientation too, especially on the subject of global warming, including online outlets like Vice, Huffington Post and Buzzfeed.
The UN even welcomes global warming lobby groups, including “community organizers” posing as journalists. Greenpeace-style blogs, like Canada’s own DeSmog Blog attend in full advocacy mode, as well as other small websites like The Tyee and the Vancouver Observer, both supported by Tides.

Roger Helmer MEP has organised a special screening of the highly-acclaimed film Climate Hustle. He said: “The film takes apart the case for ‘catastrophic global warming’ and exposes the lies, exaggerations and misinterpretations which underlie the new religion of ‘warmism’.”
The“Climate Hustle” film was created by Climate Depot, the US think-tank and advocacy group and Mr Helmer has arranged a screening of it in Brussels next week, Wednesday, October 19, at 3pm. The event will be open to visitors and anyone interested can pre-register at [email protected]. Those attending should should arrive an hour beforehand, to allow for the Parliament’s extensive registration and security procedures.
