Schwarzenegger Throws Support Behind Kasich — Because Of Climate Change?
ormer California governor and long-time Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed Gov. John Kasich Sunday ahead of Ohio’s primary.
“This is the land of opportunity; it is the greatest nation in the world, no matter what anyone says out there,” the actor and winner of the 1969 Mister Universe said during an outdoor rally in Ohio. “And we need John Kasich to now take charge and be at the White House.”
Kasich “kicked some serious butt” when he was in Congress, said Schwarzenegger, who will be replacing Donald Trump as the host of “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
Schwarzenegger’s support of Kasich’s presidential bid may stem, in part, from their mutual concerns related to man-made global warming. Kasich has repeatedly used his belief in man-made global warming to create a potential point of difference between his opponents and himself in the presidential race.

Media Matters for America has published a report detailing US broadcast news coverage of climate change in 2015, and their findings are stunning. Stunning eh? Or not. Dana might be knocked over, but I see ABC down 20, Fox up 20, and some “other stuff”. It’s not really much of a trend in total minutes. The thing that really bugs […]Rating: 10.0/10 (1 vote cast)

Schools Add ‘Cli-Fi’ – Climate Fiction Books – to Literature Curriculums
Colleges and universities worldwide are incorporating into their curriculums the evolving genre of literature that focuses on the changes coming to Earth as the result of climate change – “cli-fi.”
Some of the books and movies now being considered part of the genre are old classics, while others were written more recently in direct response to today’s changing climate.
“It’s a very, very energized time for this where people in literature have just as much to say as people who are in hard science fields, or technology and design fields, or various social-science approaches to these things,” said Jennifer Wicke, an English professor at the University of Virginia who will be teaching a course this June on climate fiction at the Bread Loaf campus of Middlebury College in Ripton, Vermont.…
