Body Of Proof: Large Number Of Studies Show Medieval Warm Period “Prominent In Southern Hemisphere”

Remember how in the late 1990s/early 2000s the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) was made to disappear, and it was claimed that it was mainly a local, North Atlantic phenomenon. Unfortunately for those trumpeting this claim, a comprehensive worldwide survey of scientific literature is now showing that the MWP was in fact a global phenomenon, suggesting large-scale natural cycles are what is really driving the climate. ================================= Charting the Medieval Warm Period In The Southern Hemisphere By Dr. Sebastian Lüning and Fritz Vahrenholt (Translated/edited by P Gosselin) The plotting of the Medieval Warm Period Map is making good progress. At first the basic idea was the Southern Hemisphere because of the notion that Medieval Warm Period (MWP) could be limited only to the Northern Hemisphere, mainly the North Atlantic, kept popping up. The collection of data for Africa, Antarctica, Australian and Oceania is now finished and it shows that the MWP was prominent. In South America the data have been recorded foremost in the northwest part. The rest will soon follow. The online data chart is here. The color code is as follows: red = warm MWP, blue = cold MWP, yellow = dry, green = wet. Here the precipitation code is shown only when there is no temperature information. Over the last weeks the charting has been focused on the Mediterranean region, Arabia and the Caspian Sea. Once these regions are finished, the focus will move to northwards into Europe. Recently studies from Switzerland and Austria were added. The MWP was uniformly hot and dry in this region: ======================== Vote for Dr. Lüning’s MWP Map Within the scope of the Environment Conference in Paris in April 2016, French Minister of Environment, Energy and Ocean Issues Ségolène Royal started an Internet platform that has the aim of promoting the 100 most innovative citizens’ initiatives for climate. Among the candidtes is also our Medieval Climate Map, which is now an officially electable project. From June 6 to July 6 it will be possible for citizens to vote for their favorites. After the voting by Internet users ends, the top 100 will be declared as the winners by Ms. Royal. These will be supported and promoted until COP22 in November in Marrakesh. We hope you’ll support us with your vote when the voting opens. We’ll remind you …

Obama: Prepare to Flee Climate-Caused Hurricane Devastation – Warns storms ‘going to become more powerful & more devastating’

Pres. Obama called for every American to put together a disaster supply kit and evacuation plan because climate change is bringing “more powerful and more devastating” hurricanes to the U.S. – even though the U.S. hasn’t been hit with a major hurricane in more than a decade.

Announcing the June 1 start of hurricane season, Obama warned Americans to prepare for imminent climate change-caused hurricanes:

“All of us have seen the heartbreak, the damage and, in some case, the loss of life that hurricanes can cause.  And as climate continues to change, hurricanes are only going to become more powerful and more devastating.

“One of the things that we have learned over the course of the last seven and a half years is that government plays a vital role, but it is every citizen’s responsibility to be prepared for a disaster.  And that means taking proactive steps, like having an evacuation plan, having a fully stocked disaster supply kit.  If your local authorities ask you to evacuate, you have to do it.Don’t wait.”

Obama chastised Americans for their “complacency,” and told them to be ready to evacuate when the climate-caines hit:

“And what we’ve been seeing is some public complacency slipping in; a large portion of people not having preparedness kits, not having evacuation plans.  We’ve been stagnant a little bit with respect to the number of people, the percentage of people who respond to an evacuation order.  All that has to pick up, because we want to make sure that, although it’s hard to prevent property damage, that we are doing everything we can to prevent loss of life.”

There’s even an app to help Americans prepare for the destruction to come, Obama said:

“If you need information about how to put together an evacuation plan, how to put together a disaster preparedness kit, as Craig said, we’ve got an app for everything now.  We have a FEMA app in English and in Spanish to help you prepare your family for a disaster.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. has now gone a record 127 straight months without a major hurricane making landfall – and the National Oceanic and AtmosphericAdministration (NOAA) is predicting a “near normal” Atlantic hurricane season this year.

For the past ten-plus years, “normal” has meant no major hurricanes – even with the effects (if any) of climate change – so “near normal” suggests the …

NASA says Antarctic sea ice has INCREASED since 1970s

The Antarctic appears to have been proofed against global warming.

A NASA spokesman said: “Why has the sea ice cover surrounding Antarctica been increasing slightly, in sharp contrast to the drastic loss of sea ice occurring in the Arctic Ocean? A new NASA-led study finds the geology of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean are responsible.”

A NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adsministration (NOAA) team led by Son Nghiem of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California, used satellite radar, sea surface temperature, land form and bathymetry (ocean depth) data to study the physical processes and properties affecting Antarctic sea ice.

Mr Nghiem said: “Our study provides strong evidence that the behaviour of Antarctic sea ice is entirely consistent with the geophysical characteristics found in the southern polar region, which differ sharply from those present in the Arctic.”…

Nature – finally ‘finds’ cause of Antarctic pause, will last centuries, tosses ‘global warming’

Nature ties itself in knots here, and reveals a lot more than they probably meant too, but mostly about themselves rather than about Antarctica. If it’s correct, the implications from this study are pretty big, not that the study will tell you that. The term “Global warming” is tossed under a bus, along with almost all the Antarctic man-made scares of the last two decades. The political nature of Nature is on full display.

This time Nature claims it has found the cause of the Antarctic pause.  Apparently this now finally resolves yet another conundrum (fantastic, what!) that was, as usual, not called a conundrum until it was solved. Another secret problem fixed. Where was the press release telling us there was a problem?

Those who said there was a conundrum were just deniers. It’s right there in the press release, paragraph two:

The study resolves a scientific conundrum, and an inconsistent pattern of warming often seized on by climate deniers.…
