Flashback 2012: UN climate chief Christiana Figueres seeks ‘centralized transformation’ that is ‘going to make the life of everyone on the planet very different’ — ‘The Industrial Revolution was also a transformation, but it wasn’t a guided transformation from a centralized policy perspective. This is a centralized transformation that is taking place because governments have decided that they need to listen to science. So it’s a very, very different transformation and one that is going to make the life of everyone on the planet very different’

Canada’s Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau admires China’s ‘dictatorship’ for its ‘flexibility’ & green policies: ‘There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say ‘we need to go greenest, fastest, we need to invest in solar’ – Trudeau: ‘I mean there’s a flexibility that I know [Canada’s Prime Minister] Stephen Harper must dream about, of having a dictatorship that he can do everything he wanted, that I find quite interesting.’

  1. Those 3 words … “We The People” … must really stick in her craw, along with many others that have a huge disdaine for the United Sates. Sorry, Christiana, but we don’t live under your say-so, nor will we be challenged to surrender our democratic rule of law because you think it not he best course of action for the rest of the world. Really, you’ve made it all too obvious this time what your true agenda is.

  2. So she prefers communism and a dictatorship to a democracy, or a republic where the people have rights and a say. Not at all surprising coming from a commie at the UN. These people like her and Al Gore are truly evil.

  3. I will rephrase this statement into the speech of wee mere peons. American democracy, meaning a FREE People, this is a Constitutional republic, is very detrimental in our efforts to defraud the worlds People and seize power, control and all assets through our false narrative of AGW/Climate Change. We wish we were like China and ruled by threat of life and decree.

  4. Carbon Dioxide emissions from the Evil, Capitalist US are down to well below the Kyoto Accord levels set by hostile nations who demanded BIG sacrifices from us.
This despite the fact that we never ratified that stupid treaty. It came about because we have found lots and lots of natural gas and all the CAPITALISTS are using it for fuel.
Meanwhile the “doing it right” Chinese are completing 2-3 UNFILTERED COAL plants every week and will be for decades to come.
This sub-human in the UN is NOT entitled to her own set of FACTS!

You can see the Equivalent of our American Dust Bowl multiplied by ten in Today’s China. Its so bad that Chinese Rich are leaving in hords for other parts of the world. The UN people are IDIOTS HERE NASA has images of their dust bowl reaching Washington DC just like our 1030’s Dust bowl did. And its still growing. Will China turn into a Desert? It looks like it !!!!! TO ME COMMUNISM IS THE PROBLEM NOT THE SOLUTION. AND IF WE KEEP LISTENING TO THESE CHICKEN LITTLE GLOBAL WARMERS THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE A DESERT. Ha China Plant some trees and Massive fields of Industrial hemp thats how the USA got out of it and buy the way WERE NOT COMMUNIST. In fact the Industrial hemp put so much Nitrogen back in our soil, of the 30’s dust bowl, WE the People of the United States fed your COMMUNIST NATIONS FOR THE NEXT FORTY YEARS. Global Warmers are a Disease.!!!!!!!!!

  6. Nice to see Countries and people standing against this Climate Corruption being pushed by the UN/IPCC’s anti human Agenda!

Their are two sides to every coin.

I think the idea of a strong North America is a good thing, A strong Canada/USA relationship and economy is a good thing, Energy Independence for North America is a good thing. The path forward is that we need all forms of energy infrastructure and whatever it is it will need to grow and innovate and expand and be maintained and be as economical and environmental as possible for the better and to safely and effectively serve the needs of a ‘World Class’ successful and competitive North America.

It is ALL about BALANCE! All forms of energy should be reviewed when selecting the right power source to suit the given need.

Rather than bickering about ‘pick me, pick me’ we should all be improving efficiency and effectiveness to allow the Market place to ‘pick me’ on merit, not competition slander.

Success breeds success and more advances and more technology and more funding for optimization and innovation and a more intelligent society… it is the free market way!

Restriction brings control and socialism and regression and hardship and debt and a lesser standard of living!

    Why would we want that???

That is why I support the Canadian Oil Sands and US fossil Fuel industry. Factually, the solar and wind industry have merit, where capable. However, it can not do all, not even close to it, as well there are goods and bads even with renewables so in the meantime, I strongly support the ever improving, ever innovating, increasingly environmental, optimizing Canadian Oil Sands and USA Fossil Fuels to responsibly help carry us forward for generations of opportunities and advancements to come!

    It makes sense!
