According to meteorologists Dominik Jung, Joe Bastardi and Elena Volosiouk.

European experts have announced that the winter 2016 – 2017 will be the coldest in the last 100 years as arctic air masses arrive over the European continent .

German meteorologist Dominik Jung warns that this winter will be cold. According to Jung, the lowest temperatures will be recorded in January and February. March will not be any warmer, but temperatures will rise until April.

His predictions are supported by AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Bastardi and by Elena Volosiouk, specialist at Phobos Meteorological Centre.

Volosiouk added that the decrease in solar activity will contribute to lower temperatures in the coming period.

Report: 1970s ‘global cooling’ studies ‘airbrushed out of history’

http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/09/14/massive-cover-exposed-lying-alarmists-rebranded-70s-global-cooling-scare-myth/

Everyone knows that before the global warming scare began in the 1980s, scientists were much more worried about global cooling and the coming ice age.

At least everybody did till a cabal of lying climate alarmists – one then a senior administrator at NOAA, now a president at the World Meteorological Association –  hijacked Wikipedia, published a lying paper, and rewrote history by painting the 1970s Global Cooling Scare as an urban myth.

Now the full extent of these activists’ skullduggery has been uncovered by researcher Kenneth Richard, writing at No Tricks Zone.

Richard shows that during the 1960s and 1970s, there was an 86 percent scientific consensus that the planet was on a cooling path. But this was airbrushed out of history so successfully that even now if you do a Google search on “70s global cooling scare” the top results claim it never really happened.

‘83% Consensus’?! 285 Papers From 1960s-’80s Reveal Robust Global Cooling Scientific ‘Consensus’

Beginning in 2003, software engineer William Connolley quietly removed the highly inconvenient references to the global cooling scare of the 1970s from Wikipedia, the world’s most influential and accessed informational source.

It had to be done.  Too many skeptics were (correctly) pointing out that the scientific “consensus” during the 1960s and 1970s was that the Earth had been cooling for decades, and that nascent theorizing regarding the potential for a CO2-induced global warming were still questionable and uncertain.

Not only did Connolley — a co-founder (along with Michael Mann and Gavin Schmidt) of the realclimate.com blog — successfully remove (or rewrite) the history of the 1970s global cooling scare from the Wikipedia record, he also erased (or rewrote) references to the Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age so as to help create the impression that the paleoclimate is shaped like Mann’s hockey stick graph, with unprecedented and dangerous 20th/21st century warmth.

A 2009 investigative report from UK’s Telegraph detailed the extent of dictatorial-like powers Connolley possessed at Wikipedia, allowing him to remove inconvenient scientific information that didn’t conform to his point of view.

“All told, Connolley created or rewrote 5,428 unique Wikipedia articles. His control over Wikipedia was greater still, however, through the role he obtained at Wikipedia as a website administrator, which allowed him to act with virtual impunity. When Connolley didn’t like the subject of a certain article, he removed it — more than 500 articles of various descriptions disappeared at his hand. When he disapproved of the arguments that others were making, he often had them barred — over 2,000 Wikipedia contributors who ran afoul of him found themselves blocked from making further contributions. Acolytes whose writing conformed to Connolley’s global warming views, in contrast, were rewarded with Wikipedia’s blessings. In these ways, Connolley turned Wikipedia into the missionary wing of the global warming movement.

After eviscerating references to 1970s global cooling scare and the warmer-than-now Medieval Warm Period from Wikipedia, and after personally rewriting the Wikipedia commentaries on the greenhouse effect to impute a central, dominant role for CO2, Connolley went on to team up with two other authors to publish a “consensus” manifesto in 2008 that claimed to exp”ose the 1970s global cooling scare as a myth, as something that never really happened.

Peterson, Connolley, and Fleck (2008, hereafter PCF08) published “The Myth

In October 1974, the NOAA Magazine published this piece by Patrick Hughes about the detrimental effects of 30 years of global cooling (yes, the cooling that warmists insist never happened!)

We are told that global warming has led to a worse climate, with more extreme weather.

Yet every account seems to bear out that the reverse is true, and that the warming experienced between 1890 and 1940 was actually hugely beneficial.

Discussing Northern Hemisphere temperatures, NOAA state that “the total change has averaged about one half degree Centigrade” since 1940.

Yet, according to HADCRUT smoothed annual averages, the drop is only about 0.2C, between 1940 and 1973. (A simple year on year comparison shows that 1973 was actually slightly warmer than 1940).

Bombshell: New study confirms ‘solar activity has a direct impact on Earth’s cloud cover’ important to climate change

A new study confirms “solar variations affect the abundance of clouds in our atmosphere,” a solar amplification mechanism which is the basis of Svensmark’s theory of cosmo-climatology.

The solar eruptions are known to shield Earth’s atmosphere from cosmic rays. However the new study, published in Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, shows that the global cloud cover is simultaneously reduced, supporting the idea that cosmic rays are important for cloud formation. The eruptions cause a reduction in cloud fraction of about 2 percent corresponding to roughly a billion tonnes of liquid water disappearing from the atmosphere.

As Dr. Roy Spencer notes,

The most obvious way for warming to be caused naturally is for small, natural fluctuations in the circulation patterns of the atmosphere and ocean to result in a 1% or 2% decrease in global cloud cover. Clouds are the Earth’s sunshade, and if cloud cover changes for any reason, you have global warming — or global cooling.”

The IPCC models fail to consider multiple solar amplification mechanisms, including cosmic rays andnumerous other amplification mechanisms, thereby ignoring that solar activity can explain the 0.7C global warming since the end of the Little Ice Age in 1850. Solar activity reached a grand maximum in the latter half of the 20th century, and accumulated solar energy (the ‘sunspot integral’) explains global temperature change since 1900 with greater than 97% statistical significance.  This new paper confirms that solar activity variation can account for a 2% variation in global cloud cover, sufficient to explain the warming of the 20th century and without any consideration of CO2 “radiative forcing.”

Farmers’ Almanac predicts a teeth shattering ‘ice cold’ winter

  • Farmers’ Almanac in Maine celebrates its 200th anniversary
  • The Old Farmer’s Almanac in New Hampshire celebrates its 225th anniversary
  • The Old Farmer’s Almanac will celebrate with tributes from Obama and Justin Trudeau
  • The Farmers’ Almanac predicts a bone chilling ‘old fashioned’ winter

Hundreds of almanacs served a nation of farmers over two centuries ago. These days, only a handful of them remain.

One of them, the Farmers’ Almanac based in Lewiston, Maine, is celebrating its 200th edition this month with traditional gardening tips, home-spun humor and life hacks.

In New Hampshire, The Old Farmer’s Almanac marks its 225th anniversary with tributes from President Barack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, among articles on mangrove forests and presidential beer preferences. Both have special anniversary sections with articles from the past.

In Maine, the long-term weather forecast calls for a teeth-chattering winter for the eastern two-thirds of the nation. ‘We’re calling it the return of the old-fashioned winter. The ice cold winter is back,’ said Sandi Duncan, managing editor.
