TAMPA, FL — Speaking to supporters in Tampa, Hillary Clinton says climate change is “wreaking havoc on communities across America.” Clinton warns that Hurricane Hermine “is not the last one that’s going to hit Florida given what’s happening in the climate.” She says, “When it comes to protecting our country against natural disasters and the threat of climate change, once again, Donald Trump is totally unfit and unqualified”.

HILLARY CLINTON: “Another threat to our country is climate change. 2015 was the hottest year on record and the science is clear: it’s real, it’s wreaking havoc on communities across America. Last week’s hurricane was another reminder of the devastation that extreme weather can cause and I send my thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by Hermine.                 1. “Tells it like it is?” One of THE most overused cliches during this election. Check Politifact. According to the facts, he doesn’t tell it like it is at all. When you say that he’s “one of us”, speak for yourself.

                2. “Tells it like it is” will go down as the CLICHE of the year in 2016. According to all of the fact checker organizations, his followers only THINK that he tells it like it is. He only tells it like it is about fifty percent of the time. All other times he’s lying. And lying is the exact opposite of “telling it like it is.”

                2. If anything, the data presented here implies that whatever global warming that might be taking place is actually reducing the number of hurricanes hitting the US. Maybe warming things up more would reduce the number of hurricanes even further.

                1. You are right, Agnew was potent impeachment insurance. Ford however couldn’t prevent Nixon from hitting the bricks. I think Kaine is closer to Ford than he is to Agnew. Hillary would be vulnerable.

                2. Nixon was not impeached. He resigned, at the insistence of his party, and was pardoned before that could happen. He would have been, had he not stepped down. Young Hillary, who ironically was on the Watergate Commission, was fired for lying and unethical behavior. Since then, she has done things that make him look like a Boy Scout.

                  2. You are correct, I was using the term ‘impeached’ too loosely. The House Judiciary Committee approved the Articles of Impeachment against Nixon, but he resigned before the matter could be voted on by the complete House.
