Imagine if instead, cancer cells had the ability to press on to another body. A cancer like that would have the power to metastasize not just from organ to organ, but from person to person, continuing to evolve deadly new skills along the way.
…
While there is no sign of an imminent threat, several recent papers suggest that the eventual emergence of a contagious human cancer is within the realm of medical possibility. This would not be a disease, like cervical cancer, that is triggered by the spread of viruses, but rather one in which cancer cells actually travel from one person to another and thrive in their new location.

One theory is that the animals are unusually vulnerable. Driven so close to extinction — by climate change, perhaps, or human predators — the species is lacking in genetic diversity.

Climate change hysteria is getting carried away. If earth’s history, as far as the interglacial periods tell us, warming actually contributes to more biodiversity rather than drives animals to extinction.

Leave it to the NY Times to go mindlessly “hyper”. If they must, I guess we can wonder if people who work for the Times are suffering from a special case of mental illness (liberalism).
Whatever they are suffering from it’s obviously contagious! Maybe even cancerous!!

Clearly, it’s already caused a form of brain cancer within the NOAA/NASA scientific community in which it appears to it’s victims that it is OK to alter historical data.
I’m surprised that the same hasn’t already blamed for a generalized dementia among those pathetic “deniers” who believe historical data to be sacrosanct. See there, I too am a victim of CAGW. Let the reparations begin…….
it’s contagious via groupthink, rather than dermal contact it would seem
Actually, I recall a “study” a couple of years ago which determined that because it was mostly older scientists who were skeptics (aka deniers) that they were merely reacting to their recognition that young turks had embarassed them by discovering this alleged problem.
It never crossed the authors’ little mind(s) that perhaps it had more to do with the fact that these “old scientists” were retired, or, if still working, not having much need to feed from the overly generous government trough, so could examine the science rather than the political BS.
The NY Times isn’t even worth lining the bottom of a bird cage.
And I guess we’ll all become gay if we brush up against a gay person. This is the same rag that showed pictures of New York City being underwater by last summer. The paper and every “reporter” they have should be mocked any time they open their mouths.
Think the paper actually said ‘lack of genetic diversity’ may cause cancer. The paper then goes on to give examples of mechanisms which could cause lack of genetic diversity. This paper is not about climate change at all.
My studies have revealed that climate change cures erectile dysfunction, but can result in an erection lasting more than 4 hours!
manmade cancer viruses in vaccines, they mean
