UN climate report glosses over 15 years without global warming — Daily Caller Features Climate Depot: ‘You have to pity the UN. The climate events of 2013 has been one of the most devastating to the UN’s political narrative on global warming,” said Marc Morano, publisher of Climate Depot, a climate skeptic website. Morano added that ‘both poles have expanding ice, with the Antarctic breaking all time records, global temperatures have failed to rise for 15 plus years, global cooling has occurred since 2002, polar bear numbers are increasing, wildfire’s are well below normal, sea level rise is failing to accelerate, tornadoes are at record lows, hurricanes are at record low activity, Gore’s organization is flailing and losing donors amid layoffs, former climate believers like Judith Curry are growing more skeptical by the day.’
Skeptics Not Impressed: IPCC Fails To Come Clean Over Global Temperature Standstill — The IPCC has decided to discount the global warming standstill since 1997 as irrelevant and has deleted from its final document its original acknowledgement (in its 7 June draft) that climate models have failed to ’reproduce the observed reduction in surface warming trend over the last 10-15 years.’ Not only has the IPCC failed to predict the ongoing temperature standstill, its climate models actually predicted accelerated warming due to the increase of CO2 emissions.
Band-aids Can’t Fix the New IPCC Report – Says CLIMATOLOGIST DR. PATRICK J. MICHAELS & CHIP KNAPPENBERGER — ‘The Humpty Dumpty-esque report once claiming to represent the “consensus of scientists” has fallen from its exalted wall and cracked to pieces under the burdensome weight of its own cumbersome and self-serving processes, which is why all the governments’ scientists and all the governments’ men cannot put the IPCC report together again…the latest science on two key issues: how much the earth will warm as a result of human greenhouse gas emissions, and how well climate models perform in projecting the warming, are largely not incorporated in the new IPCC report…The IPCC report should be torn up and tossed out, and with it, the entire IPCC process which produced such a misleading (and potentially dangerous) document.’
New climate report revives questions on global warming: Marc Morano of Climate Depot disagrees with that figure and finds little rationale for making the 95% confidence claim. “Nowhere in the Associated Press article does it talk about the basis for arriving at the 95% ‘confident’ figure,” he tells OneNewsNow. “Actually, Reuters came up with it and reported it. It was just a gut feeling, a discussion among authors. In other words, they just pulled numbers out of thin air.”
Climatologist Dr. Roy Spencer Mocks New UN IPCC report: ‘We don’t need no stinking climate sensitivity!’ — Spencer: ‘The recent ~15 year lull in warming is hardly mentioned at all (nothing to see here, move along). A best estimate for climate sensitivity — unarguably THE most important climate change variable — is no longer provided, due to mounting contradictory evidence on whether the climate system really cares very much about whether there are 2, or 3, or 4, parts of CO2 per 10,000 parts atmosphere. YET…the IPCC claims their confidence has DOUBLED (uncertainty reduced from 10% that 5%) regarding their claim that humans are most of the cause behind the warming trend in the last 50 years or so.’ ‘Without knowing just how much of recent warming is natural, there is no way to know how much is anthropogenic *nor* how sensitive the climate system is. This is a glaring source of uncertainty that the IPCC continues to gloss over, sweep under the rug’
