Meteorologist Dr. Ryan Maue of WeatherBell Analytics, has been warning of a massive East coast blizzard possibility heading for the Northeast this weekend. Dr. Maue is still very cautious about the forecast, noting the model uncertainty.
Below are some of Dr. Maue’s recent tweets.
USA Today: ‘Blizzard conditions are possible’ – ‘It could be the first storm in 13 years to dump a foot of snow on the entire Northeast megalopolis, Weather.com reported. More than 50 million people could be affected by snowfall heavy enough to disrupt travel by road, rail and air.’
Fox 5 DC: ‘Before you continue reading, take note: there are still many question marks surrounding this potential storm, and it’s too soon to tell exactly how much snow– if any, for sure– we might see locally.’
“FOX 5’s Tucker Barnes shared the European model’s prediction for this system on Monday morning. The model’s run as of about midnight on Sunday indicates the storm could bring possible snow totals across the Washington area of 1-2 feet– not inches.”
