UK Telegraph: ‘How did the IPCC’s alarmism take everyone in for so long?’ – Future generations ‘will be amazed by the almost religious reverence accorded to that strange body, the UN IPCC, which by then will be recognised as having never really been a scientific body at all, but a political pressure group’

This latest report has aroused markedly less excitement than did its hysterical predecessor in 2007. They have cried wolf once too often…

When future generations come to look back on the alarm over global warming that seized the world towards the end of the 20th century, much will puzzle them as to how such a scare could have arisen. They will wonder why there was such a panic over a 0.4 per cent rise in global temperatures between 1975 and 1998, when similar rises between 1860 and 1880 and 1910 and 1940 had given no cause for concern. They will see these modest rises as just part of a general warming that began at the start of the 19th century, as the world emerged from the Little Ice Age, when the Earth had grown cooler for 400 years.

Am I going bonkers?
MP’s are now calling for the £50bn High Speed Train white elephant to go slower, just to save CO2 emissions.

Dr Richard Wellings at think-tank the Institute of Economic Affairs, said the new revelations showed HS2 does not make sense.
He said: ‘Already the time savings are quite small. The problem is if they reduce the speed further then the argument that this project is going to give time savings is further diminished.
‘The most obvious thing to do to if they’re worried about carbon emissions is not to build it at all. From an environmental point of view it makes more sense to make better use of existing lines.

Expect Tornado Outbreaks: ‘Years with cold spring temperatures invariably have large tornado outbreaks, and alarmists invariably try to blame them on global warming’

The Tornadoes Will Come

http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2014/04/06/the-tornadoes-will-come/

The last few years have been very quiet for tornadoes, but years with cold spring temperatures invariably have large tornado outbreaks, and alarmists invariably try to blame them on global warming. I was nearly caught in this massive F3 tornado in 2008, which destroyed much of Windsor, Colorado. The morning started out very warm and humid, […]
