The temperature at Sioux Gateway Airport (Iowa) dropped to 44 degrees F (6.6C) this morning, breaking the previous record for July 28 of 50 degrees set in 1994, according to the National Weather Service.
On Saturday, the low of 47 degrees broke a record set in 2005, at 50 degrees.
Sunday’s high should be around 9 degrees below normal.
