Honda Civic hybrid was down 37%. Nissan’s Leaf battery car was an exception, nearly tripling sales of a year earlier — now that the starting price is $2,000 less…The taste for SUVs remains strong. GM’s recently freshened Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia all reported big gains. Ford’s Explorer had its best month since being redesigned in 2010. Mazda was saved from an ugly month by its CX-5 and CX-9 SUVs.
